Melamar secara online masih belum begitu banyak diterapkan oleh para pencari kerja di kapal pesiar. Sebenarnya ada beberapa keuntungan jika apply secara online (tentunya dengan catatan agen tersebut bisa dipastikan kredibilitasnya) yaitu bisa kontak secara langsung sehingga mengurangi campur tangan beberapa ‘kaki tangan’ alias agen2 di Indonesia. Sedikit campur tangan berarti bisa meminimalkan biaya.

Prosedur apply online cukup simple. Kunjungi websitenya dan masukkan surat lamaran dan juga CV terbaru. Lamaran kita akan di review dan jika dianggap qualified maka tahap berikutnya kita akan diberikan surat undangan untuk interview via phone dan juga beberapa dokumen pra-interview yang harus diisi dan dikirim balik. Berikut ini contoh undangan interview saya beberapa tahun yang lalu:

Dear I Made,

Thank you for your recent application and your interest in a position in our shops on board cruise liners. We are very pleased to inform you that on reviewing your C.V., we would like to arrange a telephone interview!

I would appreciate if you could kindly complete the pre-interview forms, sign manually both documents and attach a recent passport-sized photograph.

Please make sure to include the following information:

Name and surname (as printed in your passport).
Contact Information (landline and, if available, mobile telephone number) – please include the country code.
Mailing Address (used to send important information following the interview).
Manual signature on both documents.
Passport-sized photograph included on the form.
Please either fax the pre-interview forms to +44 117 982 xxxx or return them as a scanned attachment via email

You may then, after having sent the pre-interview forms, contact me on +44 117.916.xxxx to discuss a suitable date and time for the interview. You will then need to telephone us for your interview on the arranged date and time.
