Introduction to Web Design

In the world of web design, first impression do counts. A website is the front line of a company and the design of the website will the first thing the customer will see. Whether they decide to find more or leave your website right away, it is pretty much depending the design of the website. What about a blog design? The same thing applies too when designing a blog. It represents the personality of the blog owner. I believe that besides the content, a blog’s design plays an important role in order to maintain it’s readership. Now you know that blog and design are two integral part for a good blog. Here are some important aspects that need to be taken care of with extra attention in web design. This is just basic concepts, the common senses. You need to consult a professional web designer for more technical guidance.
1. Meet the standard. When designing a web, make sure it meets the standard of World Wide Web consortium. It provides specifications, guidelines, software, and tools to lead the Web to its full potential.
2. Header Image. This can be the company logo, title or tag line of the website. The header image ideally must represent the content of your website in general.
3. Choosing Font. There are three main aspects when choosing the font for your website: the color , the style and the size. Make sure the fonts are not too small or too big. The style and the color of the fonts need to be different between certain areas in your website such as between the title and the content.
4. Search Engine Friendly. Search engine is the main source of the traffic. Be careful about any html code you are using, make sure it is compatible with all those major search engine such as Google, Yahoo and so on.
5. User friendly. This includes the site map and the navigation of your website. Users should easily can navigate every part of your website.
